How Does Our Flooring Installation Process Work?
Initial Consultation
We begin with a detailed discussion to understand your current flooring and vision for the new installation. With many options available, we guide you in selecting the best materials that align with your quality expectations, timeline, and budget.
In-Home Assessment
Next, we schedule an in-home consultation to evaluate your space, identify potential challenges, and develop solutions to prevent unexpected delays or costs.
Personalized Installation
As both the owner and lead installer, I, Benny Powell, along with my full-time apprentice, manage every aspect of your project. From delivering materials to removing existing flooring and repositioning furniture, we handle it all to maintain our high-quality standards and minimize potential issues.
Ongoing Communication
Given our active role on-site, we may not always be available by phone. For prompt communication, we encourage clients to text us with their inquiries.
Expert Execution
With over 20 years of experience across multiple states, we are passionate about flooring. We treat each home as our own, continually updating our knowledge and equipment to adhere to industry best practices. Our commitment to excellence ensures the job is done right the first time, backed by long-term warranties.
How long will my project take?
Most projects are completed within a week, depending on their size and scope. We typically start on Monday mornings and work from approximately 7:00 AM to between 3:00 and 5:00 PM, depending on the day's conditions and schedule. By focusing on one or two projects at a time, we ensure quality and efficiency.
Where should we go during the installation?
For optimal results and safety, we prefer homes to be unoccupied by people and pets during the installation. Many clients plan our work around vacations or arrange to be away from home. In certain situations, we can work around your schedule, but please be aware that our work can be noisy and involves multiple moving parts.
Will there be a lot of dust?
We have invested significantly in vacuums, air filters, and dust-capturing technology. While the process does generate dust, we are adept at capturing and cleaning it, often leaving your home cleaner than we found it.
What should we do with the furniture?
For refinishing projects, all furniture must be removed from the area. Kitchens, garages, or rooms not included in the project scope are suitable storage spaces. Alternatively, renting a U-Haul truck for short-term use can be effective. We recommend that clients move small, fragile, and valuable items, and we are happy to handle the heavy lifting.

Currently, many clients prefer to match existing hardwood and extend it throughout their homes. While it was once common to use different flooring types in various areas, the trend now leans towards consistent flooring with light, bright, and natural finishes.
